Former Nigerian international Dimeji Lawal has advised the Falconets to forget about their loss to Germany and focus on overcoming Venezuela in the final group game of the 2024 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Recall that Nigeria lost 3-1 to Germany on Wednesday night, despite creating many goal-scoring chances.

With the team set to face Venezuela on Saturday, Lawal said that the Falconets will get something positive from the game.

“When it comes to women’s football in the world, I think we have improved a lot. and we will keep improving. I will give the team a good chance against Venezuela. I think they can pick something out of the game.

“At that level, they are so committed, and they want to make a name for themselves. They want to do something positive for the country.

“So I am confident the Falconets will definitely get something out of the game against Venezuela on Saturday.”
