Former President Donald Trump has joined TikTok, gaining significant traction within hours of his debut.
His first video, posted from the Ultimate Fighting Championship 302 in New Jersey, garnered over 32 million views and 1.8 million followers as of Sunday evening.
The video, posted on his verified account #realDonaldTrump, shows Trump waving to fans at the event. UFC President Dana White announced Trump’s arrival on the platform, with the former president responding, “It’s my honor.”
The clip received over 2.7 million views and 500,000 likes in four hours.
Trump’s move to join TikTok comes after the share price of Trump Media & Technology Group Corp. (TMTG), which operates Truth Social, dropped following his felony conviction.
Notably, Trump had previously attempted to ban TikTok in the US during his presidency.
