In a swift response to a late-night robbery, police apprehended two suspects in the Imude area of Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos state.
The incident occurred around 11 p.m. when 30-year-old Musa Ibrahim and 22-year-old Ibrahim Danjuma allegedly robbed a woman in her shop.
Alerted by an emergency call, a patrol team from the Ilemba Hausa Division was dispatched to the scene.
With the assistance of vigilant community members, the suspects were quickly apprehended, and a locally-made firearm was recovered from them.
Residents of the area have expressed gratitude to the police and community members for their prompt action, highlighting the importance of community vigilance and cooperation with law enforcement.
Reacting to the arrest, the state police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundayin, stated: “Security is everyone’s business. This successful apprehension was made possible through the combined efforts of the community and the police force. The suspects are currently in custody, and further investigations are underway.”
