Veteran actor Jide Kosoko has expressed satisfaction with his decision to vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that he “does not regret” his choice.
In a recent interview on “Curiosity Made Me Ask” with Bae U Barbie, Kosoko praised Tinubu’s performance, saying he is “doing very well” despite the challenges of fixing a battered economy.
Kosoko emphasised that repairing the economy is a difficult task and requires time.
He reaffirmed his support for Tinubu, citing their long-standing relationship and Tinubu’s contributions to nation-building.
Kosoko highlighted Tinubu’s role in the struggle for democracy in Nigeria, stating that his name cannot be omitted from the list of those who fought for the current democratic system.
He expressed confidence in Tinubu’s leadership and believes he is making progress, despite the challenges.
The host asked: “People that voted for Tinubu do you think they should be bullied?”
Kosoko replied: “That is their own business. Their own cup of tea. I am entitled to my opinion. I love the man I voted for. And I know he is doing well.
“He is doing well. If only you know how repairing things are, you will understand that he is doing very well.”
“I voted for him because I have known him for a long time. And I have seen quite a lot of his contributions to nation building.
“You cannot even talk about this present democracy that we are all enjoying without saying Tinubu’s name among the people that struggled for us to have it.”
