The Delta State Police Command has refuted earlier reports about the murder of Hon. Joan Mrakpor, also known as Ada-Anioma, a former member of the House of Representatives, the Delta State House of Assembly, and an ex-commissioner.
Police Public Relations Officer SP Bright Edafe stated that the news of her murder is false. He confirmed that her abductors have not made any contact since they forcibly took her from her church premises and killed two of her police aides in Asaba, Delta State, last Tuesday.
The police have clarified that there has been no confirmation of her death. They have also been conducting investigations into her abduction, but have not yet located her or received any new information from the abductors.
Authorities continue to search for Ms. Mrakpor and urge anyone with information to come forward.
