Nigeria’s celebrated music icon, Onyeka Onwenu has been buried.
The 72-year-old music star was buried on Friday in a private and solemn ceremony at the Ebony Vaults and Gardens in Ikoyi, Lagos, following her wishes.
Recall that Onwenu collapsed at the 80th birthday party of Stella Okoli, founder of Emzor Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company on July 30.
She was confirmed dead at Reddington Hospital in Lagos.
Her service of songs was held on Friday, August 30, at the Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju, and was attended by dignitaries.
