Nigeria’s remaining team in the CAF inter-club completions, Enyimba International of Aba, have drawn two Egyptian opponents and one Mozambican club in Group D of the CAF Confederations Cup.
The group phase draw held on Monday threw another Egyptian giants Zamalek and Al Masry into Enyimba’s pool with Black Bulls Maputo of Mozambique completing the lineup in the Group D.
Enyimba secured their place in the group stage of the competition after after beating Etoile Filante of Burkina Faso 4-3 on penalties following a 0-0 scoreline in normal time over two legs.
Elsewhere, the winners of the 2023 edition of the Confederation Cup, USMA Alger of Algeria, have been drawn in Group C alongside ASEC Mimosas of Côte d’Ivoire, Jaraaf of Senegal, and Orapa United of Botswana.
The full draw of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage: Group A – Simba SC (Tanzania); CS Sfaxien (Tunisia); CS Constantine (Algeria); Bravos do Maquis (Angola).
In Group B, there are RSB Berkane (Morocco); Stade Malien Bamako (Mali); Stellenbosch (South Africa) and Desportivo Lundavs Sul (Angola).
For Group C, there are USMA Alger (Algeria); ASEC Mimosas (Cote d’Ivoire); Jaraaf (Senegal) and Orapa United (Botswana).
In Group D, there are Zamalek (Egypt); Masry (Egypt); Enyimba (Nigeria)and
Black Bulls Maputo (Mozambique).
