The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace, Allen Onyema, recently met with President Bola Tinubu to discuss advancements in the aviation sector under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Speaking after their meeting at the State House in Abuja on Thursday, Onyema commended the President for implementing policies aimed at stabilising business operations across Nigeria, particularly in the aviation industry. He highlighted significant progress made by the Tinubu administration in enhancing the ease of doing business in the sector and introducing reforms spearheaded by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo.
Expressing optimism about the administration’s impact on aviation, Onyema stated, “The President is a businessman, and he is trying to stabilise businesses with his policies, but people don’t realise this. Some of us in business understand what the President is trying to do, and we appreciate him, especially in the aviation industry.”
Acknowledging the current economic challenges, Onyema noted that the reforms being implemented by the administration would benefit the nation in the long run. He encouraged Nigerians to support government efforts and promote indigenous investments.
“What he is doing is the real restructuring of the country. Many Nigerians think restructuring means dividing the country along regional lines, but what Tinubu is doing is genuine restructuring by changing how we operate as a nation to achieve better results in the long term,” Onyema added.
