Adeboye: Police Release TikToker SeaKing On Bail

TikTok content creator, Olumide Ogunsanwo, popularly known as SeaKing, has regained his freedom from police custody.

SeaKing was arrested in connection with allegations of cyberbullying the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, following comments he made during a live session in December 2024.

Omoyele Sowore, who has been vocal in demanding the social media influencer’s release, confirmed the development on Monday through a post on X.

He revealed that he served as a signatory to SeaKing’s administrative bail.

“We are pleased to confirm that Olumide Ogunsanwo @seaking303 has been released from @PoliceNG custody after our prompt rejection of the initial bail condition requiring a Level 12 or 10 civil servant, resulting in a swift agreement and release on administrative bail, signed by me,” Sowore wrote, sharing a photo of SeaKing smiling in a car.

Pastor Adeboye, during the February Holy Ghost Service at the church’s 3km by 3km auditorium in Simawa, Ogun State, also called for SeaKing’s release, stating that the TikToker was only fulfilling prophecy.

“God told us at the beginning of this year that mockers will be more active, they would become bolder, even hot,” the RCCG leader said.

“I heard that there was someone who lambasted me thoroughly because I asked my people to fast and pray for 100 days. I did not ask him to fast. I was only talking to my children.

“I was told that some people are so angry and they went and arrested him. Release him! He is fulfilling prophecy.”

However, RCCG has retracted an earlier appeal by Pastor Enoch Adeboye for the release of social media influencer Seaking303, urging the need for a thorough legal process.

This development was communicated through a statement from the Public Relations Unit of the Office of the Principal Executive Assistant, RCCG Worldwide.

The statement, titled ‘Clarification on the Ongoing Investigation Regarding Seaking303’, emphasized the importance of due process in resolving the matter.

“Recently, a video has been circulating in which Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye appeared to call for the release of Seaking303. However, after carefully reviewing the situation and the concerns raised over potentially defamatory content in earlier videos, it has become necessary to allow the legal process to take its full course,” the church explained.

RCCG also clarified that Pastor Adeboye’s remarks during the Holy Ghost Service were not meant to interfere with the investigation.

It acknowledged a formal complaint filed by the Concerned Christian Youth Forum on behalf of Fathers of Faith, which includes Pastor Adeboye.

The church further called on the authorities to carry out a fair and impartial investigation while cautioning against cyberbullying and unwarranted statements directed at Pastor Adeboye, RCCG, and the wider Christian community.

“Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye remains committed to love, reconciliation, and peace. However, the rule of law must be respected at all times,” the statement added.
