Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has said that suspended Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara is his son, so he cannot fight with him.
Speaking in an interview with BBC Pidgin published on Saturday, Wike dismissed reports of a feud between him and Fubara.
Wike clarified that his fight was with those pushing Fubara against him and not the suspended governor.
โThat one is not a battle. He (Fubara) is my boy, he is my son, why will I fight with him? Iโm only fighting against people who want to steal what they did not work for.
โThe President called me to make peace; I said, โBoss, how will you tell me to make peace and I wonโt?โ
โWhen you donโt defeat them, they will think youโฆ.. Defeat them to the final stage.
โNow, they are ashamed because they are being defeated. They are the ones pushing Fubara,โ Wike stated.
