    APC Chieftain, Tunde Ajibulu, Mourns Late COAS, Lagbaja

    A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Omoba Tunde Ajibulu, has condoled with the Nigerian Armed Forces and in particular the Nigerian Army, over the death of Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja.

    Lagbaja died on Tuesday November 5, 2024, in a Lagos hospital after a brief illness and was buried on Friday November 15 in Abuja.

    In a statement he personally signed, Ajibulu, who was a member of the 43 Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy said he had fond memories of the departed Army Chief as their paths severally at the NDA.

    “My condolences to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Bola Tinubu, Nigerians and the Nigerian Armed Forces as a whole on the Passing of a senior gallant officer in the person of the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja.

    “I remember him as a dignified 5th termer in the Nigerian Defence Academy when I was a 1st termer.

    “I was opportuned to have crossed paths with him several times in over the years. He was a soldiers soldier! He distinguished himself in service to our mother land.

    “My condolences to his His wife, children and extended family and to all members of the 39th Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy. May God grant him eternal rest”.
