Former Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has been summoned by the Federal Capital Territory High Court over  allegations of criminal breach of trust and possession of unlawfully acquired property. The summons, issued by Justice Maryann E. Anenih, alleged that Bello committed the offences between 2016 and 2023. The Federal Government, through the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (P-CNGI), has activated about 125 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) conversion centres nationwide. This was disclosed by Michael Oluwagbemi, the chief executive officer of P-CNGI, who revealed that that 125 centres had surpassed the 100 centres earlier anticipated. The Court of Appeal has affirmed the position of Martins Amaewhule as the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, dismissing an appeal that challenged his leadership.
