The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has warned deposit money banks that it would impose a fine of N150 million per branch of any bank which engages or facilitates illegal flow of mint naira notes to currency hawkers of dubious agents. Road accident has claimed the lives of two female students of Kogi State. The two female students — one from the Federal University, Lokoja and another from the Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja — lost their lives in a motor accident that occured in Lokoja on Friday. Tobi Adegboyega, a Nigerian pastor based in the United Kingdom, has dismissed claims that he was about to be deported from his current base. Adegboyega, who recently lost his battle against deportation from the UK over an alleged £1.87 million fraud, said the allegations levelled against him are baseless and should be dismissed.
