The funds were disbursed by the Ministry of Defence in July 2024, with records on GovSpend showing multiple tranches of payments made through the Naira Transit Account. The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, has revealed that over 11,553 underage candidates have registered for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination. The family of popular Nigerian singer, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2face, has petitioned the Department of State Services over his whereabouts, declaring him missing. In a petition signed by their lawyer, Wilson Anuge, dated February 7, the Idibia family stated that the singer, also known as 2Baba, had been missing since 10 February 2025 and had not been seen since.
