Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, on Wednesday, presented a budget of N678.06 billion for the 2025 fiscal year, tagged, “Budget of Stabilisation”  to the House of Assembly for approval. The capital expenditure is N343 billion, which represents 50.6 percent while the recurrent expenditure is N335 billion, representing 49.4 percent of the total budget. There is growing tension among states yet to implement the N70,000 new minimum wage, following the December 1 strike notice given by the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, to workers in defaulting states to commence the indefinite strike.
