The Rivers State Government has filed an appeal against the recent Federal High Court ruling in Abuja that barred the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) from distributing federal allocations to the state. A Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed January 21, 2025, to hear the money laundering case brought against the immediate past governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The Minister of Works Dave Umahi has said that the four toll gates along the 260km Abuja-Keffi-Makurdi expressway is in conformity with the requirements of the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC).
