The Minister of Works Dave Umahi has said that the four toll gates along the 260km Abuja-Keffi-Makurdi expressway is in conformity with the requirements of the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC). The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has restrained the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) from making allocations to the Rivers State Government until a ‘lawful’ appropriation Act is passed by a validly constituted State House of Assembly. This decision was made by Justice Joyce Abdulmalik in response to a suit filed by the Rivers State House of Assembly, led by Martins Amaewhule.
