Road accident has claimed the lives of two female students of Kogi State. The two female students — one from the Federal University, Lokoja and another from the Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja — lost their lives in a motor accident that occured in Lokoja on Friday. Tobi Adegboyega, a Nigerian pastor based in the United Kingdom, has dismissed claims that he was about to be deported from his current base. Adegboyega, who recently lost his battle against deportation from the UK over an alleged £1.87 million fraud, said the allegations levelled against him are baseless and should be dismissed. In December, an investigation by the UK Charity Commission found “serious misconduct and/or mismanagement in the administration” of his church. The Appeal Court in Abuja has set aside all orders barring the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, and the Accountant General of the Federation from releasing funds to the Rivers State Government.
