In a bid to ensure reforms of Nigeria’s electoral system, fifteen Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) have presented 37 priority areas that should be considered for amendments if the country will get it right. The recommendations were made to the National Assembly and they would serve as priority areas and a guide to the National Assembly and other stakeholders towards sanitising Nigerian electoral system. An explosion tore through a service station in Russia’s Caucasus republic of Dagestan Friday, killing at least 10 people and wounding 11 others, the emergency situations ministry said. Two children were among the dead, the ministry added on social media network Telegram. Nigerian oil exploration has witnessed a significant year-on-year (YoY) 22 percent drop due to low investment in the country’s upstream sector of the petroleum industry. Former governor of Taraba State, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku, has been in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in the past 72 hours over his alleged diversion of more than a whopping N72 billion local government funds.
