Former Arsenal footballer, Thomas Partey has been charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault. The offences are reported to have taken place between 2021-2022, the Metropolitan Police said. The charges involve three women, with two counts of rape relating to one woman, three counts of rape in connection to a second woman and one count of sexual assault linked to a third woman. President Bola Tinubu has signed into law, four landmark tax reform bills aimed at unifying Nigeria’s fragmented tax structure. The new tax laws were also targeted at removing duplication, boosting investor confidence, and making the system fairer and more transparent. The signing ceremony, which took place on Thursday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, marked what the President described as a “bold and foundational shift” in Nigeria’s fiscal policy direction. Cornelius Olatunji Adebayo, a former senator and ex-governor of Kwara State, is dead. According to family sources who spoke to TheCable, Adebayo passed away early Wednesday morning in Abuja. He was 84 years old. Born on February 24, 1941, in the Igbaja community of Kwara State, Adebayo served as governor of the state in 1983.
