Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) stormed and raided two popular nightclubs and lounges in Akure, Ondo State, on Saturday. Following the operation, the anti-graft agency reportedly arrested 50 suspected internet fraudsters, including a groom-to-be who was celebrating his bachelor’s eve at one of the clubs with his friends. Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, revealed yesterday that no fewer than 10 suspects were in custody over the recent killing five soldiers at Obikabia Junction in Aba, Abia State. MultiChoice Nigeria, the company behind DSTV and GoTv, has said it will appeal Friday’s ruling of the Competition and Consumer Protection Tribunal in Abuja, which awarded a N150m fine against it for challenging the court’s jurisdiction.
