The South East leadership of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, has “vehemently rejected” Chief Edozie Njoku, as the party’s National Chairman, dismissing his alleged recognition by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, as “a joke taken too far”. The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) says it will follow to the end and ensure justice for the 17-year-old girl allegedly defiled by a police officer at Ogudu Police Station. The Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has secured the conviction and sentence of five fraudsters before Justice A.A. Okeke of the Federal High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The convicts are Justine Chikeleze Onyedikachukwu, David Udoka Okafor, Godwin Favour Udoh, Ifeanyi Franklin Ogobue and  Chinedu Mukolu Obed. The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday asked Ali Ndume, senator representing Borno south, to resign from the party. The party also asked the senator to vacate his position as chief whip of the senate. The APC made the requests in a letter sent to Senate President Godswill Akpabio. The investigative panel set up by the Federal Government on the collapsed two-storey school building in Jos, Plateau State, has released a preliminary report on the sad incident. The two-storey building housing Saint Academy, located at the Busa Buji community in the Jos North Local Government Area of the state, collapsed on Friday at about 8:30 am, claimed 22 persons and left about 154 trapped persons who were evacuated to various hospitals.
