A former Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has officially declared his intention to contest in the 2027 gubernatorial election in Nasarawa State under the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform. The lawmaker representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, Hon. Oluwole Oke, has explained that he quit the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) because of poor leadership at both the national and state levels. U.S. President, Donald Trump has plans to spare carmakers from some tariffs, Financial Times (FT) reported on Wednesday. It noted that as part of a tariff “destacking” plan, car parts would be relieved of some of the duties imposed by Trump. The exemptions, FT said, would however leave in place a 25 per cent tariff imposed by Trump on all imports of foreign-made cars. The examination was supposed to commence on April 25 in over 700 computer based test centres nationwide.
