The Federal Government has warned the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and the Trade Union Congress, TUC, to shelve their plan to commence a nationwide indefinite strike action from tomorrow (Monday). The House of Representatives Committee on Agricultural Colleges and Institutions is to hold a public hearing a nine  bills seeking to establish different agricultural institutions in parts of the country. One of the bill seeks to establish a Federal University of Agriculture at Ute-Okpu in Delta State to Make Comprehensive Provisions for its Due Management and Administration. The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) on Sunday warned Nigerians against the hazardous practice of using dangerous chemicals to preserve food items. The Agency specifically emphasised on the dangers associated with dichlorvos, a chemical commonly utilised by traders to safeguard food from spoilage.
