APC Campaign For Edo Governorship Election To Be Led By Akpabio, Dikko Radda, 195 Others
Ahead of the September 21 governorship election in Edo State, the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress, on Wednesday, unveiled a 197-man council to lead its campaign. In the list released by the APC National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, Cross River State Governor, Bassey Otu, was appointed as the chairman of the campaign council. Otu will be assisted by Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, and former Edo governor, Adams Oshiomhole, who were announced as co-chairman and deputy chairman, respectively. Spanish club Sevilla have announced the signing of Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho on a two-year contract, with an option for an additional year. The 27-year-old striker joins Sevilla as their fifth signing of the summer transfer window. Iheanacho previously played for Leicester City in the Premier League, where he scored 61 goals and provided 34 assists in 232 appearances. The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Nyesom Wike, has approved the promotion of 1,018 senior and junior staff of the Federal Capital Development Authority. The Executive Secretary of FCDA, Mr Shehu Ahmad made this known in a statement in Abuja on Wednesday. Ahmad said that the promotion was for officers on Grade Level 7 to 15, covering 2022 and 2023.
