A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Tuesday, denied businessman Ibrahim Dende’s request to prevent an investigative journalist, founder of the Foundation for Investigative Journalism, Fisayo Soyombo, from writing further about him. The court declined to hear the application but instead directed the claimant’s counsel to put the defendants on notice. The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has said that strike is not imminent if the Federal Government implements the agreements reached in the next two weeks. Prof Emmanuel Osodeke, President of ASUU, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday (NAN). The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has asked INTERPOL in three North African countries of Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria to watch-list former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, it was learnt at the weekend.
