President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, has slammed governors for establishing state universities they cannot fund. He also alleged that most governors duplicate universities in their states to get a piece of the pie that is the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFund. Senate President Godswill Akpabio has indicated that the Senate would consider approving the purchase of a new presidential jet if a request is made by President Bola Tinubu. The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Ola Olukoyede has ordered the arrest of two officers of the Commission allegedly involved in the manhandling of a female staff of Regional Hotel, Ojo, Lagos.
