Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde, has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle. The reshuffle saw the former commissioner for trade, industry, investment, and cooperatives, Ademola Ojo, move to the ministry of local government and chieftaincy matters. Ojo is a former chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, Oyo State chapter. Hon. Segun Olayiwola, who until the reshuffling was manning the ministry of local government and chieftaincy matters, has been moved to the ministry of establishment and training. The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has disclosed that President Bola Tinubu has not accorded proper attention to issues forcing the union to embark on industrial action. The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has ordered celebrity bartender and business man, Pascal Okechukwu popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest to forfeit the sum of ₦10m to the Federal Government as a fine in lieu of the charge made against him for alleged abuse of the Naira.
