Properties worth billions of naira were burnt in a fire outbreak that engulfed a recycling hub and market in the Dakata metropolitan area of Kano State in the early hours of 4 a.m. on Wednesday morning. The Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered prominent businessman, Oba Otudeko to appear before it and take his plea in the ongoing ₦30 billion fraud case filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The presiding judge, Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke, on Monday, ruled that Otudeko must be arraigned before any application challenging the court’s jurisdiction can be entertained.
