The Lagos State Ministry of Transportation, in collaboration with Huawei Technologies, has deployed four new Intelligent Transport System sites to monitor and detect speeding and manage traffic flows. The United States Department of Justice has announced that a Nigerian national, Edwin Okoronkwo, will be deported after serving a 75-month prison sentence for defrauding multiple Americans through an online scam. Okoronkwo and his wife, Julie Okoronkwo, who was also sentenced to 25 months in prison, ran a catfishing scheme where they impersonated high-ranking U.S. military officials to deceive victims into sending money. The Zone 2 Command of the Nigeria Police Force has arrested a 46-year-old Managing Director of Leuven Empire Hotel and Suites, Macdonald Opara, for allegedly sodomising a 16-year-old boy.
