Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has presented certificates of recognition to three new traditional rulers in the state. The traditional rulers include Igwe Odudu 1 of Ihite, Orumba South, Igwe Timothy Ifurunwa; Igwe Ugodinaobi of Azia in Ihiala, Francis Chikezie and Igwe Orazulunye of Nkwelle Ezunaka, Oyi Local Government, Igwe (Sir) Obiora Anachuna. President John Mahama of Ghana has reduced the number of ministries in the country from 30 to 23 as part of efforts to cut government spending. This decision, issued via an executive order, was documented in a gazette dated January 9, just two days after Mahama’s inauguration.
