The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) will today release the results of 379,000 candidates who sat for the rescheduled Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The resit was conducted between Friday and Monday following widespread complaints of technical and human errors during the initial UTME exam. Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the Board’s registrar disclosed that 379,997 candidates were affected—206,610 across 65 centres in Lagos and 173,387 in 92 centres in the South-East. The southeast caucus of the House of Representatives has demanded the outright cancellation of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) as a result of technical glitches that affected some students during the examination. A manhunt has been launched after five people were stabbed during an event in southeast London, according to the Metropolitan Police. Officers were called to Nathan Way in Thamesmead at 4:19am on Saturday, where they discovered five individuals suffering from stab wounds. All five were taken to hospital, where their injuries are still being assessed.
