The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has asked INTERPOL in three North African countries of Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria to watch-list former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, it was learnt at the weekend. It was further learnt that the decision by the EFCC was based on credible intelligence. Other countries where the ex-governor is put on the watch-list are Egypt, Libya and Sudan. Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his re-election as Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, oncFriday 5th July 2024 arrested the head of Akarabata community in Ile-Ife, Ba’ale Ige Babatunde, 50, with fresh cannabis plants that weighed 5kg. Pandemonium on Saturday erupted in Abeokuta, Ogun State following the killing of a betting agent identified as Abiodun Anuoluwapo by a trigger-happy police officer late Friday night.
