The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja on Tuesday set aside actions previously delivered against the reinstatement of Muhammadu Sanusi II as the 16th Emir of Kano. Subsequently, the appellate court, upon acknowledging the transmission of the case record to the Supreme Court, directed all interested parties to exercise caution, pending the hearing of their appeals at the apex court. President Bola Tinubu will lift the state of emergency in Rivers State as soon as normalcy is restored, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has assured. Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Dele Alake, said the inauguration of the mining Marshals has led to the arrest of 327 offenders, recovery of 98 mining sites, and restoration of access to legally licensed operators. Osun state governor, Ademola Adeleke has declared a 24 hours curfew in two local government areas, Ifon and Ilobu following raging communal clashes that has led to deaths and destruction of properties. The communities had been at loggerheads over land disputed which resulted to killings and razing of houses. On Friday ,three people were reportedly killed including an ex-councillor and 30 people were shot with women and children displaced.
