The Rivers State House of Assembly has frowned upon the presentation of the 2025 Appropriations Bill by Governor Siminalayi Fubara to the three-member Assembly led by Victor Oko-Jumbo loyal to him. Doctors in Ondo State under the Association of Resident Doctors, University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital Ondo chapter, on Tuesday, began an indefinite strike over alleged poor working conditions and welfare packages. The resident doctors had on Monday staged a protest against the management of the state-owned teaching hospital, accusing it of ignoring their demands. Inmates in custodial facilities across Kano State will now have access to healthcare services following the approval of their enrolment into the State’s Healthcare Contributory Scheme.  The initiative, aimed at providing comprehensive health coverage for inmates, was announced during a visit by Dr. Rahila Aliyu Muktar, Executive Secretary of the Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KACHMA), to the Kano State Command of the Nigerian Correctional Service.
