Kenyan President William Ruto on Wednesday named four heavyweight opposition politicians to join a “broad-based” cabinet in the wake of more than a month of anti-government protests. Ruto announced the names of 10 ministers to be part of a reformed cabinet, including four who are close to veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga, after a list of another 10 ministers was submitted to parliament on Tuesday. Otti, had on June 11, 2024, suspended the Commissioner for Health over alleged financial misconduct. The Governor also set up a committee to probe the allegations against her. Operatives of the Kano Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested a banker, Kamaluddeen Lawal and three businessmen for recycling and manipulating contents of Naira notes. The family of the late singer Mohbad has conducted a new autopsy to determine the cause of his death. Previously, the family expressed dissatisfaction with the initial autopsy results, which were deemed inconclusive. The Magistrate of the Coroner Court in Ikorodu, Lagos State, T.A.
