Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have uncovered illicit substances in Lagos. The items – consignments of Cocaine and Loud, a synthetic strain of cannabis – were concealed in incense candles, game packs, dry hibiscus leaves and ladies’, NDLEA spokesman, Femi Babafemi said. A 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck Guatemala on Saturday, the United States Geological Survey said, with the tremor also felt in El Salvador and Nicaragua. No casualties or damage were reported in the three countries. The tremor hit at 8:53 pm (0253 GMT) with its epicenter eight kilometers (five miles) southeast of Jalapa city, at a depth of 265.5 kilometres, according to the USGS. The seismological institute in El Salvador recorded the quake at a magnitude of 5.9 while that of Nicaragua registered it at 5.2-magnitude. The Federal Government has rescued an additional 58 Nigerian women and children trafficked to Ghana. In June, the FG rescued at least 10 Nigerian teenage girls, ages between 15 and 16, from human trafficking and prostitution. The girls were reportedly lured to Ghana with promises of a better life but were instead forced into prostitution. American singer, Sean Kingston whose real name is Kisean Anderson, and his mother, Janice Turner, 61, are facing serious legal trouble after being indicted by a federal grand jury on wire fraud charges.
