The Parliamentary Staff Union of Nigeria (PASAN) on Monday shut down the National Assembly in compliance with the indefinite strike action declared by Organised Labour to press home demand for living wage for Nigerian workers. The two gates of the Assembly complex were shut by the union with workers and other visitors unable to gain access. The organised labour has shut down all entry points of aviation agencies at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos and the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja to press home their demands for the implementation of a new National Minimum Wage. The Central Bank of Nigeria has revoked the banking licence of Heritage Bank Plc, effective immediately. This decision was made due to the bank’s failure to improve its financial performance, posing a threat to financial stability. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board on Sunday announced the release of 3,921 outstanding 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination results. Son of first elected Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Rafiu Jafojo, Adeniyi, has hailed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for turning waste to electricity. He also  the govenor’s initiatives in transport and infrastructure. The Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, has stated that the lack of a liquid foreign exchange market was the major reason why some multinational companies exited Nigeria. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said it has registered 20,000 new voters in the ongoing Continous Voters Registration (CVR) in Ondo State ahead of the November governorship election.
