Music sensation Rema has sparked curiosity among fans by deleting all his posts on Instagram. The 24-year-old singer, who boasts 6.7 million followers on the platform, removed his profile picture and all content related to his label, Mavin Records. Rema’s rise to fame began with a viral freestyle on Instagram, where he impressed fans with his skills on D’Prince‘s “Gucci Gang.” The talented artist was subsequently signed to Mavin Records in March 2019, launching his successful music career. President Bola Tinubu has directed the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), Mr. Mamman Ahmadu, to resign. According to a statement by Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, the move is part of a broader effort to reorganise the public procurement system and enhance its efficiency and transparency. The Nigerian Airspace Management Authority (NAMA) has insisted that the Nigerian airspace is fully covered by radar. This is contained in a statement signed by the Managing Director of NAMA, Mr Ahmed Farouk, on Saturday in Lagos. Farouk said that the radar stations in Nigeria, located in Kano, Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt, are all serviceable. He described as false and misleading the claims by a blogger that an unidentified aircraft was spotted at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, undetected. The management of the University of Lagos, UNILAG, has banned the rearing of dogs, livestock and other pets on campus. The information was contained in a news bulletin by the school authorities released on Friday. “Members of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) community, particularly residents of the staff quarters (including boys’ quarters), are hereby reminded of the university policy prohibiting the rearing/keeping of pets such as dogs, poultry and other livestocks. “All members of the University Community are implored to abide by this policy which is aimed at safeguarding lives and properties on campus, ” the statement read.
The chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo state, Jarret Tenebe, has accused Governor Godwin Obaseki of using his executive power to intimidate and harass opposition politicians in the state. He, however, petitioned the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun over the alleged incident.
