The House of Representatives has announced the death of a Senior Officer of the Nigeria Customs Service during an engagement with a House Committee at the National Assembly. Confirming the incident in a statement, House Spokesman Akin Rotimi says the Customs officer suddenly developed health complications during the House Committee engagement at about 1pm. The Federal Government has said it will not allow the fate which befell its Medium Security Custodial Centre in Suleja on April 24 to befall any of its 256 Custodial Centres across the country, saying it is rehabilitating the centres accordingly.
