The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja, on Thursday, affirmed the re-election of Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State. In a unanimous decision by a three-man panel of Justices, the appellate court, dismissed an appeal that was brought before it by the All Progressives Congress, APC, and its candidate, Chief Timipre Sylva. The Police Command in Lagos State says it has arrested two suspected hoodlums over the death of a vigilante member in the Epe area of the state. The command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed this to the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday.
