Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA Chairman, Bola Shobowale, Passes Away After Prolonged Illness

The Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Bola Shobowale, has passed away after a prolonged battle with illness. Her death marks the end of a challenging period that saw her absent from office for nearly a year due to health complications.

Shobowale’s demise comes just three days after Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, appointed the council’s Vice Chairman, Oladipupo Oluwaloni, as the Acting Chairman. The decision was made to fill the leadership vacuum that had hindered the administration of the council’s activities.

During her tenure, Shobowale was known for her dedication to grassroots development and community engagement. Her absence from office due to health reasons had created uncertainty within the LCDA, prompting the state government to intervene by appointing an acting leader.

Residents and political figures have begun to express their condolences, mourning the loss of a leader who played a significant role in local governance. Many have highlighted her contributions to infrastructural development, social welfare, and economic empowerment within the Ayobo-Ipaja community.

As the LCDA transitions under Oluwaloni’s leadership, stakeholders are hopeful that the council will regain stability and continue Shobowale’s legacy of service. Further announcements regarding burial arrangements and official tributes are expected from the state government and the LCDA administration.
