Bobrisky Claims Re-Arrest By Nigerian Immigration Authorities Upon Return To Nigeria

Controversial Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, has claimed that he was rearrested by Nigerian immigration officials upon his return to the country.

Bobrisky took to Instagram on Tuesday to announce the arrest, stating that he had no knowledge of the charges against him. He wrote, “Guys, I have just been arrested by immigration in Nigeria. I don’t know what I did o.”

However, Nigerian immigration authorities have not yet confirmed Bobrisky’s claims regarding the arrest.

This incident follows a series of legal troubles for the social media personality. Bobrisky had previously left Nigeria several months ago, citing personal reasons, and had made it clear in a recent TikTok live session that he relocated to an undisclosed country where he is “officially recognized as female” and receives the respect he believes he deserves. He further stated, “Nothing will bring me back to Nigeria. I am never living in Nigeria. If I need to come to Nigeria, it will be for visitation because this country doesn’t suit me.”

Bobrisky’s past includes a brief imprisonment in 2022 for abusing the naira, and he was also involved in an incident where he was allegedly recorded discussing a payment to officials to have money laundering charges dropped, a claim he denied.
