Delta State Amnesty Stakeholders Warn Against Impersonation Of National Chairman

Stakeholders of the Third Phase of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Delta State Chapter, have issued a warning against the impersonation of its National Chairman, Amb. Preye Ekpebide.

The warning was issued in a statement signed by the Chairman and Secretary, Kerebi Ombe and Ujeyah Louis, respectively, and made available to journalists on Sunday in Asaba.

The statement read in part: “We, the stakeholders and leaders of the Third Phase of PAP, Delta State Chapter, warn against the impersonation of our National Chairman, Amb. Preye Ekpebide. The newly elected National Chairman of the Third Phase of PAP is Amb. Preye Ekpebide from Delta State.

“We want to make it clear that one Mr Elaye Slaboh from Bayelsa State is impersonating the National Chairman of the Third Phase of PAP, a position he does not hold. Amb. Preye Ekpebide was duly elected and succeeded the immediate past Chairman, General Tonye Bobo, after a peaceful election.

“We, the beneficiaries of PAP, hereby warn Slaboh to desist from impersonating Amb. Ekpebide, who is the legally and legitimately elected Chairman of the group. We urge all beneficiaries of the Third Phase to disregard any claims made by Slaboh.”

The statement further warned Slaboh to immediately cease from presenting himself as the National Chairman, cautioning that any dealings with him or his associates would not be recognised by the Delta State Chapter or the entire Third Phase beneficiaries in the region.

The state chapter of the group has called on the PAP administrator, Dr. Dennis Otuaro, to urgently intervene and terminate any transactions with Slaboh in his false capacity.

They have also appealed to the Delta State Government, the Niger Delta Development Commission, the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, International Oil Companies, and other relevant bodies to refrain from engaging with Slaboh to maintain peace and ensure progressive development in the region.

When contacted on Monday regarding the alleged impersonation, Slaboh said, “Don’t mind them; allow them to waste their time and money. I am the National Chairman of PAP Third Phase.”
