The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has initiated the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) process across 397 centres in Edo and Ondo states in anticipation of the upcoming state governorship election.

Mr. Sam Olumekun, INEC National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee, made this announcement yesterday in Abuja.

He revealed that an online locator for the registration centres has been launched to facilitate easy identification.

However, Olumekun noted that due to flooding at the state INEC headquarters, the venue for the registration exercise in Edo has been relocated to the Ikpoba Okha Local Council office situated at 16, Custom Road, off Benin/Auchi Road, Benin.

To ensure smooth access to the CVR locations in both states, detailed names and addresses of the centres have been distributed to stakeholders, Olumekun disclosed.

Furthermore, he mentioned that the locations have been published on the commission’s website and social media platforms.

He further stated, “A short graphic of the procedure for accessing the registration centres has been uploaded to our website and social media platforms.”

Olumekun encouraged all eligible voters in Edo and Ondo, who have not yet registered, to take advantage of the CVR opportunity and register.
