The owner of X platform, formerly Twitter, Elon Musk has endorsed the candidacy of Donald Trump after an assassination attempt on the former US president.

Musk in a single line tweet said he fully endorsed President Trump for the forthcoming United States presidential election.

“I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery”, he said. He wished the former president quick recovery from his injury.

However, the tech giant in another tweet called on the head of Secret Service in the country to honorably resign following the assassination attempt on Trump.

“The head of the Secret Service and the leader of this security detail should resign”, Musk said.

Recall that an eyewitness told BBC that he informed police, Secret Service about a suspicious man on a roof with a rifle and was ignored.

Angered with the secret service action, Musk asked the head of the service to resign.
