It was a scary sight on Monday, July 1, as the Nigeria Customs Service paraded a shipment of arms ammunition originating from Turkey it impounded in Rivers state. The customs said the assorted weapons were worth over N13.9bn. Ethiopian Airlines has announced that the Nigerian government is no longer interested in partnership aimed at establishing the proposed Nigeria Air project. The Airlines’ Group Chief Executive Officer, Mesfin Tasew, made the announcement in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, according to Ethiopian Tribune. “The Nigerian government has lost interest in partnering with a foreign airline,” Tasew was quoted as saying. Abia State Government has suspended the restriction on the operation of tricycle and motorcycle operation in the state. The suspension was contained in a statement issued Monday by the Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu. A Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed a suit by the detained leader of the separatist group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu seeking N1billion damages for alleged right violation.
