The House of Representatives yesterday asked the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, FCCPC, to immediately halt the unfair business practices perpetrated against Air Peace, Dangote and other businesses by certain foreign businesses operating in Nigeria. Five men standing trial for the abduction and murder of a Fulani herder, Ibrahim Adamu, who until his death was selling cows at Owode-Ede, Osun State, were on Tuesday sentenced to death by hanging by an Osun State High Court. After Adamu’s abduction, he was said to have been moved into a secluded place in his Toyota Corolla car. The Edo State Government has issued a notice of retrieval to former Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu to return twenty two (22) vehicles belonging to the State Government. The notice was contained in a statement signed and released on July 2, 2024 by the State Commissioner for Communications and Orientation, Chris Nehikhare. Chris Nehikhare said the notice takes effect immediately and has a lifeline of seven (7) days.
