It was a gathering of who-is-who among the leaders of Rivers State and others as Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), on Friday, hosted a New Year Luncheon to herald 2025.
The luncheon presented an opportunity for the leaders to brainstorm with the former governor on the state of affairs in the state and also to praise him on his strides as the minister in charge of the nation’s capital.
Those at the luncheon included leader of the Rivers State Elders Council, 86-Year-Old Chief Ferdinand Alabraba, former NBA President, Chief OCJ Okocha (SAN); Senator Magnus Abe; former House of Reps Deputy Speaker, Hon Chibudom Nwuche; Ambassador Desmond Akawor, Senator Alwell Oyesoh, House of Assembly Speaker, Martin Amaewhule, and other members of the House; among other notable leaders.
Also at the luncheon were the governor of Edo State; Monday Okpebholo, Senators Adams Oshiomhole, Philip Aduda, Sandy Onor and Mao Ohuabunwa, as well as the PDP National Vice Chairman (South South), Chief Dan Orbih and his APC counterpart, Victor Giadom.
