Nigerians Believed Natasha Was Satisfied With Akpabio’s Apology – APC Women Leader

National Women Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Mary Alile on Friday says Nigerians believe Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has forgiven Senate President, Godswill Akpabio after accepting his apology.

Speaking on Arise TV, Alile who said the APC values women and has given them a level playing field also said Akpoti-Uduaghan should have resolved the issues she has qith with the Senate internally rather than going to the press or social media.

” In every institution, there are mechanisms in place to deal with issues. If you have alleged someone has done something wrong, you should come out to prove and this should be done internally. I don’t think going out to the press or Facebook is the way to deal with the issues”.

“As a country, we must believe in our judiciary system. We must believe there is a system that is in place for every individual regardless of whether you are a male or female”.

“I just listened to Senator Natasha before I came on air and she talked about the previous incident. She talked about the fact that the Senate President came and made an apology and she accepted the apology on the floor”.

“Now, if she felt that the apology was not good enough and there is another way she could have gone about it, there is no need being coerced into accepting the apology”.

“If you accept an apology that has been tendered to you, Nigerians will believe that you are satisfied. If you feel your rights are violated, there are ways of going about it”.
